Saving a digitally signed PDF invalidates the signature. Do one of the following: To save changes to the current file, choose File Save. To save a copy of a PDF, choose File Save As. The latest versions (after MS Office 2007) allow you to save the document as a pdf, thus avoiding formatting errors. Go to Files-Save As and select '.pdf format' from Save As Type. Click the File tab or menu option at the top-left of the Word program window. Click the Save As option in the menu.
